An ex-member of the H.M Armed Forces Coldstream Guards, Chris has cultivated a diverse and extensive background in security, working across various sectors including FMCG, extraction, marine, education, residential, commercial, financial, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, and fast casual dining.
With over 37 years of experience in risk, security, and safety management, Chris’s journey has taken him through notable positions across the globe. His international experience spans several continents, with roles including Regional Security at ACCENTURE and Belmond Hotel Group in Africa, and the Global Corporate Security Zone for McDonald’s in Asia, Pacific, Middle East & Africa. His country-specific experience in South Africa includes positions at the University of Western Cape and various private security firms like LODGE, SERVEST, and FIDELITY ADT.
Chris’s academic qualifications are as impressive as his professional ones, holding degrees in Risk Management from the University of Stellenbosch and Security Management from The South African Institute of Management, among others. His expertise extends to comprehensive risk identification, prevention, and control mitigation, demonstrating proficiency in disruptive 4IR digital solutions, IoT, and AI.
At Lodge Service, Chris plans to leverage his vast experience in security and risk management to enhance organisational brand standards and ensure effective business resilience. He is dedicated to a proactive approach to security, emphasising the importance of preventing potential threats and minimising profit erosion and negative brand reputation. His vision for Lodge Service involves a holistic integrated approach, blending advanced technology with effective brand standard processes.
